Turbocharged 911s have existed for 40 years, but putting a turbo in a regular 911 is met with suspicion among fans of the crisp response of Porsche’s naturally aspirated engines. “Turbos are for Turbos,” they’ll chant. Confusion will follow, and chaos will reign. However, Porsche has been battling turbo lag and working to smooth out the hit longer than just about anyone else. Perhaps that’s why the 3.0-liter twin-turbo engines in the new 911 Carrera S are not only stronger than the larger, non-turbocharged engines they replace but nearly as responsive.

Originally delivered to its first owner at Porsche Centre of Edmonton, Alberta, the car was factory ordered as a "launch edition" vehicle with the sought-after sports package and 7-speed manual option. The car then made its way out to its second owner in BC where it's lived a well-cared for and accident-free life. The Jet Black Metallic paint is covered in Paint-Protection Film across the front 50% of the car.

It also helps that it’s a little weird-looking. There’s no ignoring the matter of the iconoclastic rear-engine layout. Clearly, Porsche is wrong about putting the engine in the back—even the 911 RSR race car now has its engine in the middle—but the company has made this bass-ackward thing work, in the process setting the 911 apart from an increasingly homogenized automotive world.
